Botox® Injections
Botox® is popular because it is an FDA approved non-surgical method of reducing or eliminating unwanted lines and wrinkles on the face. Botox® injections diminish fine lines caused by repeated muscle movement from expression, such as frown and forehead creases and crow’s feet. The injection works by blocking the nerve impulses, relaxing the muscles that cause wrinkles.
The series of Botox® injections usually takes about ten minutes. No anesthesia is needed and this non-surgical procedure requires virtually no recovery time. Results are visible within days and typically skin will maintain a smooth, refreshed appearance for up to four months, depending on the site of the Botox® injections and extent of lines.
